Tutorial[]
Nat Vancey leads you through a tutorial of the game's mechanics, which include nodding/shaking your head to react to Habiticians, proximity-based dialogue, the bouquet where items are stored, and interacting with certain objects in the environment by using a Hand, which she gives the player to pick the Noon-bloom and Dusk-bloom on the windowsill. Completing the tutorial will make Nat happy and unlock the Apartments.
The First Day[]
Dallas Smuth is blocking the Stairwell into the Courtyard. To progress, listen to Mirphy Fotoparat's comments from a distance, where she will reveal that she hates green, large canvases, busy compositions, and dogs. Using this information, Dallas will paint a painting that Mirphy grudgingly admits is good. Hearing her praise, Dallas will move out of the doorway and allow the player access to the Courtyard. Mirphy also gives the player a Camera.
Nighttime[]
When it is nighttime, the player's vision becomes woozy and gains a dark overlay. If the player does not return to their bedroom (and Cowboy Bed) to sleep, one of the Nighttime PSAs will play and the player will suffer a time penalty the next day.
